a dirty martini christmas

Earlier this week I was invited to spend an evening at the beautiful Dirty Martini in Birmingham’s buzzing city centre. The evening included gorgeous cocktails and a mini photography masterclass, which was in collaboration with Viking.

It was absolutely lovely to meet more Brum-based bloggers; one of the most wonderful feelings is being in a room with people who just get it – something I find particularly important in the creative industries. There were bloggers who had been creating content from five years to five months, and each of us had something to learn from one another.

We got to try out Dirty Martini’s recently launched Christmas cocktails following a bellini on arrival (I went for the non-alcoholic version and I’ll definitely order it next time I’m in). I adore the attention to detail in the presentation of each cocktail and I can confirm: their drinks taste as good as they look.

The photography masterclass gave us the opportunity to experiment with different sources and styles of lighting and mini glass prisms, which really transform a photograph into a piece of abstract art. The opportunity to freely use professional photography-focused facilities and set-ups in such a beautiful venue is the blogger’s dream.

Here are my favourite shots from the evening!
