nars orgasm launch

Yesterday evening I was at NARS’ latest product launch and I even got the opportunity to meet a blogger whose content I’ve admired for years.

I headed into Birmingham’s city centre to my friend Chloe – who I actually met through blogging – who is one of the kindest and most inspiring women I’ve ever met. As is to be expected when attending events with me, we were in town almost an hour prior to its start. This did work in our favour, buying us an extra hour of time to catch up over some snacks and chat life, blogging and everything in between!

When 5:30PM arrived, we made our way to Rotunda Square, by the iconic bronze bull sculpture. Lo and behold, the beautiful NARS-mobile was standing centre-stage.

The event is part of the NARS Orgasm Tour, which gains its name from their best-selling collection, Orgasm. The rose-gold tone is universally flattering and available in a range of products, each one just over the £20 mark. Whilst a lot of high end makeup can be ridiculously overpriced, I can guarantee that with NARS you really do get what you pay for.

Their branding and aesthetic game is also incredibly strong, not that that influences whether or not I’m going to purchase a product (it definitely influences whether or not I’m going to purchase a product).

Working in collaboration with NARS is the beautiful Anna, whose blog and YouTube channel I’ve followed and adored for years. We were welcomed to the event by Anna herself, who chatted with me about all things beauty, Brum, Brighton and blogging.

We were also greeted a group of lovely NARS Cosmetics artists, eager to tell us about their latest launches and get us to try them out! I went for the Orgasm Afterglow Lip Balm, which looks beautiful on naked lips and over the top of any liquid lipstick. I then tried out the Orgasm Illuminating Loose Powder, which I picked up – I was in need of a highlighter and purchasing it then meant it would remind me of a lovely evening each time I use it!

Thank you so much to Anna for being Anna, to NARS for organising a wonderful event (and creating a flawless highlighter), and to Chloe for being the best blogging friend I could ask for!
